Puppy play in the evening!

We are now at the stage with the toilet training and the puppy’s development to have playtime “freetime” in the lounge.  It is madness but wonderful to see them playing together on the carpet.

The toilet training is going well with a big majority of wee’s being done in the garden (on the grass!!!) and we haven’t had any poos in the house for the past two days.  Regular visits to the garden are required as they will still need opportunity!

As the level of activity has increased I have also had to change all the collars.  I was able to replace 4 out of the 6 yesterday and after a shopping spree today I could then change the remaining collars. The puppies are still the same colours!  (though I saw a very cute collar for Miss Pink that was purple – very tempting as so sweet!!!!).

Maggie has also bee able to spend time playing with the puppies without them constantly feeding from her.  It takes time for Maggie to learn how to stop the pups from feeding at every single opportunity, she wants to be able to spend time with them and play – so soon this will be more relaxed for her.

Here are a couple of videos from today.

Another wet weather day

The puppies have done amazingly well with their toilet training – given the weather has been horrendous.

Here are a couple of videos from yesterday…

I have had to modify my walking style around the puppies – now referred to as the Step and slide!

Puppy antics versus a mothers love

Have had a super day with the puppies.  It started with a clean pen.  Followed by antics in the garden!

As this is my second post of the day – I thought I would post a couple of short video clips demonstrating things from my point of view.

I had alot of fun playing with the puppies and laying on the floor attempting to take photos – I failed.  I was under siege by my beautiful pups!!!  I sincerely wish I could have taken a selfie with my camera (I only had my SLR to hand).  As a picture of me would have illustrated what a good breeder looks like. Dishevelled, tired and a hair style that looked like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards.  I think this video may demonstrate part of my day.

Life as a breeder

This next video shows one of the many reasons why I enjoy breeding my Labradors.

Maggie loves her pups

Beautiful Sunny day for my puppies

The puppies are very much enjoying having the garden to play in.  They are into everything and charging around.  I have had to resort to developing a new style of walk to ensure that I do not risk stepping on a puppy.

They are smashing.  I have uploaded photos of the little heartbreakers into the gallery and here are todays videos! …

Short update!

DSC_0932 DSC_0938 DSC_0952Im having a few computer issues… so it is has been hard to get photos loaded.

I have managed to add some photos to the gallery.

The puppies have gone up  gear and it has gone “menthol”  they are super speedy and getting into everything.  I am under constant attack!

You have ALL been warned!

Time is flying by

DSC_0834My puppies are doing so very well that they are going to totally break my heart when they leave – so I can only stress the importance of keeping in touch with me (whichever method you prefer – email/phone/text/posting of photos in snail mail or facebook).  As a breeder feedback is so important – good or bad – as then I can address any problems anyone maybe having OR change something Im doing.

I do sit and reflect the importance of my puppies in the right homes and I am sure all of my buyers are wholly aware of how much the pups mean to me and how I am willing to receive a text or phonecall in the middle of the night if it means to prevent worry.  A problem shared is always a problem halved.  Patricularly if you are feeling upset or anxious.

Anyway – enough of the soppy stuff, I am feeling a bit emotional about my pups and as in a short three weeks times you will all be getting to enjoy your new members of your family.

I have just updated the photo gallery (I have been having snags with my computer so a few were missed).

Here are a few videos for you to enjoy

Puppies learning the piano

Naughty Puppy – take heed – your belongings are at risk – if the puppy can reach it then it can be damaged – so anything that gets spoilt is YOUR fault and not the puppies.

Cute yellows – again take note of how the puppies are playing with feet.  Their teeth are sharp. This is 100% normal behaviour!

5 weeks old – a tribute to Cecil

We have had a busy day at Marchstone.  The puppies turn 5 weeks old today.  They have been wormed.  We also continue with the toilet training, the weather is hindering a little!

We wanted to do something to acknowledge our thoughts on Cecil being hunted and killed to become a trophy.  An abhorrent thing to do.  So we had some Lion King moments.

Conclusion

These puppies are at risk from being kissed to death BUT who is the perpetrator and will they be caught?

Another wet day – what will we get up to!

This morning we had quite a result with one of the puppies – Mr Orange was trying to get out of the box and seemed a bit frantic about it.  He then circled around the pen rather quickly so I whisked him outside and he did a poo! What a good poo as he gave clear indications he wanted to get out of the box!  Not even five weeks old!!! Im very impressed with them!

It is the man from Uncle!

We have had a special visitor today – a little pal called Fred.  This little guy is actually Maggies half brother and therefore an Uncle to the puppies!  Can you see the family resemblance?  Maggie and Fred share the same Daddy!  Maggie is losing her coat poor girl – it will come back when she stops feeding the puppies.
