Maggies first day out off the lead!

Maggie has had an absolute hoolie out on her walk today!  She wasn’t at all scared she was off investigating straightaway!  Maggie went bananas racing about.  She has spent quite a bit of time in her bed as a result.

Maggie is doing really well with her toilet training, asking to go outside and has been clean throughout the night for four nights now!  So we are all pretty pleased at how she is developing.

Here is our first Marchstone family photograph.

Here she is with Katherine before school – for a quick walk around the block on her lead.

016At this stage – as it is her first experience of being on the ground on the lead, you need to let them just get used to it all first.  So I don’t tend to do any correction for pulling – this will all come when you know your puppy is happy to be outside and walk with confidence!

The last puppy left the nest yesterday

Well we now have just the one puppy, Maggie, as Poppy went to her new home yesterday.

Im really pleased to have had reports that Poppy has settled into the new home with 100% ease.  She slept all night with any cries at all AND…. the owners EVEN set their alarm to feed her at 6am!!! WOW!  This is SO impressive!

Thank you so much to Poppy’s owners – Nikki, Dave and of course Thomas, for taking special care of Poppy, it makes it that much easier for me knowing she is in a fantastic home.

Thank you for all of the presents – Maggie has been very spoilt with her new toys!  The tyre is fabulous and I think alongside the duck is Maggie’s favourite!   Maggie loves to chase the tyre as it rolls along!  (very funny to watch!)

“Thank you Auntie Nikkie for my toys! woof woof” Maggie.

Katherine was also treated to some lovely gifts – so we have all been spoilt.  Lovely thoughtful presents.

Almost over……

003Well here we are, the last evening of having two puppies.  The puppies are 9 weeks and 2 days old.  Very confident and full of themselves charging about the living room.

The toys all looking a little bit worn around the edges, mainly down to Molly nicking them from her babies all the time!

Maggie and Poppy are becoming very efficient in a varierty of careers!

My wonderful puppies are an endless source of entertainment as well as continuous exercise – who needs a gym eh?!

As previously mentioned they are getting very good at gardening, but now they seem to be excelling themselves with paperwork filing.  I have written a card today, they have both tried to help post it for me.  The card has been blessed with puppy kisses. (I have blurred the address out).

Another fun filled day at Marchstone!

We have had a busy day with the pups.  They are learning how to do the gardening (decided some of the lawn needed removing!)  also learning how to prune plants.

They have had plenty of time in the garden playing with Molly and Melvin.  Charlie was overseeing all playground duties (I think he may have been the playground monitor as both Poppy and Maggie were very respectful towards him!).

We took them to our favourite little walk – called Kingfisher.

Whilst we carried the puppies they enjoyed the view.  The grown up woofs had playtime with the ball.

What a beautiful girl my Maggie is!

Homing day for Maverick

007

I hadn’t spotted this until I loaded the photos onto the computer.  Katherine had put on the right hand side….”don’t go Maverick!”

Maverick has now just left to start his new life with my friends Sam, Steve and Thomas.  He is a smashing puppy and I am sure he will be very happy with his new family.

As for all my puppies I am available at any time for advice or support.

Thank you to everyone for all the updates so far – I am pleased to have received emails from everyone, photos and texts.

Now we are down to two pups – our Maggie Moo and Poppy.

I hope you have all remembered to worm your puppies (I know Star and Scrumpy were done, Cash was being done…..and Im sure Mylo would have been done too!)

Molly is enjoying her puppies

Molly loves playing with her puppies, something that is always a bit tricky for her when they are all trying to suckle from her.  Once she gets the nack of getting them to leave her alone she does like to play with them.

She has spent quite a bit of today playing with them and it is the sweetest thing to watch!

I have had lots of photos of Mylo and Scrumpy settling in to their new homes.  Star is doing very well and was having a trip out round the block today (as indeed I think Scrumpy has had a little trip outside too!).  Cash (Mr White) is settling in but his bigger brother is taking a little time being 100% sure of him!  Im sure it will all work out very soon!

A big well done to Scrumpy for sleeping through most of last night.  We are ALL very proud of you!

I must say thank you to Star’s owner for giving us a FAB cake.  It didn’t last long at all as it was so very tasty indeed.  YUM YUM!  We loved the icing effect of the star on top!  Thank you also for all the other nibbles you have given us and the dogs. (they say WOOF WOOF!!).  As well as the beautiful wooden heart.

I have added more photos to the gallery.  Some of the photos have somehow slipped out of order so please look through a few pages to ensure you have seen all of the newest ones.  (some you will have seen but they have managed to get in front of some the new photos).

From Seven to Three…

Today we said goodbye to the wonderful little Miss Red – she is called Star!

This little pup is going to be filling a gap for the new owners who had to say goodbye to their much loved Sky on the day the puppies were born.  So Star was clearly meant for them, sent with approval from Sky.

As with all the puppies, Star had her special trip around the block and had her pep talk from me.  She knows she has big pawprints to fill – but we all believe she will achieve giving her new family love and joy once again.  Be it with cuddles, naughty adventures, muddy pawprints or hair all over the covers, this family needed the love of a labbie.  This time coming in the shape of STAR.

Much love to you Star.

Gosh, I am finding it even harder this year saying goodbye to the puppies.   They have been such a fantastic litter, I have been blessed with brilliant puppy buyers who have kept me up to speed with how the puppies are doing.

I am really pleased to report in addition to the updates from Scrumpy, that Mylo has fitted into his new family really well and has already got his little paws under the bedcovers (no surprises with a Marchstone Labrador really….they like to be comfortable!).  Mylo slept Melvin style last night !!! This made me smile enormously!

two boys leave the nest.

We started the day with six, come early afternoon there was five puppies then by 5pm we only had four pups left.
